tying methods

cross chest

  • Cross Chest, Step 1
  • Cross Chest, Step 2
    • 1. Cross straps over your chest.
    • 2. Bring them back to behind baby's low back or bottom and tie securely.
    • 3. Smooth out straps and adjust for comfort.
    • * If you have extra strap you can cross the straps behind baby's back and bring them back up front as described in "rucksack" carry below instead of tying behind baby's back.

rucksack

* For non-velveteen fabrics you may need to twist the straps around eachother once behind baby's low back before bringing them back up to the front as the velveteen is "stickier" and will not slip down.

  • Rucksack, Step 1
  • Rucksack, Step 2
  • Rucksack, Step 3
  • 1. Pull straps back and cross them behind the baby's lower back.
  • 2. Bring them under the baby's legs back up to the front.
  • 3. Tie securely above waist strap knot and spread straps over your shoulders for comfort.

twist

The twist does not work for everyone, but give it a try and see how it feels for you!

  • Twist, Step 1
  • Twist, Step 2
  • Twist, Step 3
  • 1. Cross straps in front.
  • 2. Wrap them around each other once, bring straps back and tie behind baby's lower back.
  • 3. Smooth the shoulder straps around your shoulders and adjust as needed to be comfortable.
